Rachael Horan Counselling
Client:
Rachael Horan is a private, accredited counsellor who offers counselling to adults and children both face-to-face in Wellington, Somerset, and online.
Brief:
Rachael reached out to us as although she had created her own website she wanted something slicker and more engaging to really highlight what her business offers.
Before our initial meeting she had already prepared the majority of the content and had a good idea of layout but was looking for inspiration with the design. We were also able to provide advice on writing her unique selling point (USP) and emphasising the benefits of counselling.
In terms of design, we suggested a pastel colour scheme, which was in-keeping with her logo, with a pale shade of green as the dominant colour as it has a calming effect; the perfect option for a business offering therapeutic support to clients.
Outcome:
We built her new site from scratch as the original was created on a non-Wordpress platform, meaning that we weren’t restricted in producing something that met her specifications.
Using the photos she supplied, we were able to blend them with the colour scheme and fade them into the background to provide more of a subtle yet contemporary look in line with her industry.
We built in collapsible boxes of text on her Services page to encourage visitors to click for more information so they can find the specific service(s) they are interested in more easily.
Rachael is keen to add more services soon and we are looking forward to helping her with this and seeing her business grow as a result.
